You know you live in a crap neighborhood when they put this shit on vending machines and glass partitions at fast food counters. I went to an Arby's one time and at the drive thru everything was done through pneumatic tubes like it was out of the friggin' Jetsons.
Off topic: they removed the snack vending machine at my community pool. The reason given was Covid; they can't ensure that the buttons are wiped down after every use.
I then asked them why the soda vending machine wasn't removed?

My college shut down water fountains and vending machines because of covid so there's literally no access to water on campus.
