Off topic: they removed the snack vending machine at my community pool. The reason given was Covid; they can't ensure that the buttons are wiped down after every use.

I then asked them why the soda vending machine wasn't removed?

Crickets.

My college shut down water fountains and vending machines because of covid so there's literally no access to water on campus.

Wait, I'm pretty sure that's actually just straight up illegal. Anywhere that routinely has a certain amount of people present has to have easy access to water. It doesn't have to be GOOD water, like the zoo has shitty water fountains to try and get you to buy their overpriced waterbottles, but they have to have free access to water.

Maybe they justified it by having the sinks still operable, but that's assuming someone's called them out on it, which is kind of unlikely imo. The only people on campus are part of trade-related classes and some faculty, so not many on campus to complain about the lack of water fountains or vending machines.
