If you live in the United States and think you own a piece of real estate, either a residence or a business, the joke’s on you. All ownership of such property in the United States was transferred to the federal government in 1964, reinforced in 1968, with two brilliant pieces of legislative legerdemain having the wonderfully deceptive titles of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Civil Rights Act of 1968.

While they certainly made needed reforms in government institutions, one of the main covert purposes was to nullify ownership of private property. In fact, it gave the federal government more actual hands-on co-ownership in every piece of private property in the United States than any tyrannical monarch ever had over his subjects.

The very definition of ownership, in a legal sense, is “one with the right to exclusive use, control, or possession of property.” Black’s Law Dictionary defines it as “the complete dominion, title, or proprietary right in a thing or claim.”

The U.S. federal government now has the right and dominion to tell you how you can and cannot use any business property in the United States, who you must cater your business to, and exact standards to which you must comply if you choose to liquidate or sell such property, business or residential. Failure to meet any of the owner’s demands—and the federal government is the owner, by exact definitions—can result in severe penalties, including fines and even jail time. Only the owner of a business or property could have such dominion over it.

And you think you’re the “owner.” By the way, did you consent to giving up that much control and ownership in what you thought was your property?
