The European Union was essentially the United States of Europe. Britain left, we all cheered. Why would we not cheer on red states for removing themselves from a globalist union that seeks to destroy their liberties?

Because real Britain's did not see themselves as 'continentals'. On the other hand, we are the Real Americans, not the self-loathing xirs on the Left. They need to leave our country, they are no longer welcome in our United States.

After the war the union was "saved" but at what cost. Even if the south succeeded then by what cost?
Wouldn't it be easier to take back the media and quit allowing them to break up the family?
"Easier?" Probably not. Like 95% of big media is not just left-leaning, but pure leftist propaganda, plus they control all the tech platforms. It would take decades just to get a 50/50 split.
Not weird at all. The European Union was an artificially created "union" of Sovereign Nations, each with its own Constitution/Founding Documents. The United States is a Federal Republic comprised of individual States bound by a shared Federal Constitution.
The EU is an abomination because each European country is different. Each has it's own language, culture, religion, history, laws, etc. Here, in the States, though, we're all Americans. One language, one history and, more importantly, one Constitution. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm not ready to give up on the USA, yet.
If we do disband, you can bet it won't be orderly. It will be like the Soviet Union at the end. A free-for-all where oligarchs come in to steal everything while the rest of us starve.
