If you're curious it's because conservative women, whether they know it or not, subscribe to a moral value system rooted in Roman-Christian moral beliefs in which there are objective moral values. Beauty, especially in women, is a moral virtue to strive for in order to improve oneself and thus woman strives to improve themselves by being beautiful.
The left's ideology is resentiment of these Roman-Christian moral values and they seek specifically to take the moral values of those who adhere to this Roman-Christian sense of morality and inverse them in order to make the moral value worthless. In this way these leftists gain power be devaluing that which they do not have. To them, they purposely try not to be beautiful because they seek to promote the idea that beauty is not actually a moral virtue as an attack on those with Roman-Christian moral value systems.
In effect you have conservatives who are beautiful and leftists who are ugly. You'll notice that as women embrace leftism more and more there is a large correlation toward how they embrace ugliness more and more because they are purposely trying to undermine the Roman-Christian value of beauty.
