Well, the show was Aug. '19, so toward the end of touring season of that year, and shit never really picked back up. And yeah, Down's first 2 are where it's at. Down II still sits pretty high among my favorite shit, and in a lot of ways I think it's the best performance Phil Anselmo ever gave.
Dude that’s awesome! And for me, NOLA is muh sheeit. Down II you could tell they were down(no pun intended) in the throes of addiction and that’s why that album hits so hard. I keep those 2 on repeat tbh. Broken Man and Albatross from COC got me into them, I still jam out when stoned to them.
Down II dropped when I was 17, so it was just that time where E V E R Y T H I N G is impactful as fuck. As much as I was into the circle of Pantera shit, I was also going back to 80's thrash. This was like '01/'02 before I could just look up Testament's Practice What You Preach or whatever. But Down II got me primed for shit like the might Acid Bath.
My high school buddies & I did some jams back then too... we only have this one up on the internet, but check it out, I bet you'll dig it. https://youtu.be/AqXkP3vMBTc
Hell yeah. One of my favorite bands! I think they we're the last touring band I saw before the Coof
Oh sheeit! They were still touring? Man I love me some Pepper, especially on the first 2 Down albums as well.

Oh yeah, I've heard that many times. Though, I dig their cover of Lord of the World even more.
