The a real good light is a really steady old fashioned incandescent light bulb, one with a real thick filament.
The new incandescent light bulbs have a thinner filament that can start to blink at 60 hertz.
Fluorescent bulbs are even worse.
Candle light is even better, as there is no potentially hypnotic flicker.
Sunlight is, of course, the best.

All my bulbs are a mix of hue color and dimmable white. There is no flicker and color control is awesome but expensive as fuck.
