You’re sort of right. Yes the flu and any virus cannot be cured and do mutate to continually infect humans. The flu shot is a vaccine for what some scientists/whoever is in charge of that believe will be the strain(s) most likely to be prominent that season. They can obviously be wrong and that shows in years with high flu/pneumonia deaths.
