There's a point where the "joke" becomes a literal golden calf. Somebody just passed it.

Lets see if we can find the rule I broke:
They think they are just being funny, but it's not a good idea to "tease" God like that.
People started worshiping the staff with the bronze snakes, which was something God had actually told them to build as a reminder, and that did not end well. Putting up idols "just for a meme" isn't going to be funny when God has to tear them down.
