I hear this all the time: "Masks aren't meant to protect you from the virus. They are to protect others, which is why it is so important that everyone not be selfish and wear one. Don't kill grandmas."

THIS IS A LIE. It is my firm belief that most of these people don't truly believe their protective gear is keeping YOU safe. It's about THEM.

I'm visiting SC and only about 30 percent of the people here at our hotel are masked up, which is a nice change from VA, where it's 100 percent in my area. When someone wearing a mask sees me coming, they give me a wide berth. Why? To protect me??? NO. They're scared of me and/or hate me.

I'm tired of fake virtuous people claiming that they're only wearing these face diapers to "keep everyone else safe." No, they are not. It's about THEM.

Therefore, masks are selfish.

Its depressing working retail, and seeing who is clearly listening to the MSM and whos not.

I have one woman that comes in with two mask, gloves, and goggles.

Her and several other people wont allow their items to be touched, and always demand bags to bag it themself.

Hell people freak out about me trying to take their ID just to scan it for a second, and start yelling about Covid and how someone they know got it from a touched ID.

The fear mongering has been brutal on these people.

Yeah, I'm hearing horror stories from the missus about her CVS. They have been doing the testing and now the vaccines. I have never seen anyone else besides me walk in their without a mask. I've never had someone say anything to me about not having a mask on but I'm 6'3" and typical grunt build with the tattoos while also being dirty after welding all day so I use the image to my favor and it keeps people away without the pandemic. I had 1 negative encounter in a restaurant, husband was telling the wife to not make a big deal about me not having the mask on while sitting at my table as they walked by to be seated behind us in a whispered tone as she started her huffing and puffing in her booth, I just grabbed my menu and drinks went a few booths away and embarrassed her when I explained to the waiter the Husband deserves a nice meal out without his nagging wife ruining it, my wife giggles her ass off and the waiter tries to apologize for the issue and I clearly stated it wasn't their fault but hers for being a passive aggressive Karen. You don't have to be aggressive or even necessarily rude, just seize the opportunity to point out the absurdity of their behavior and it's effects on others. That husband didn't have to listen to her bitch about my mask but now also had to let her 'honor' be offended while it being from a dude who would 'skull fuck' him if he wanted to get mouthy and defend her.
