Assad and Syria have name recognition in the United States as the bad guy. We all have seen the footage of war and germ warfare on their citizens so he is the perfect country and person to bomb. MSM could easily sell this to the American people because we all have prior knowledge of this dictator and it would kick off the war machine. Syria aligns with Russia and Putin so we could get the "Russia, Russia, Russia" fear porn going again while always making the Russia-Trump connection with each story of bombs being dropped. Through repitition of bombing stories the public will easily be manipulated into believing that Trump is ultimately responsible for our actions because of his close alliance with Russia and hence it is ok to bomb Syria.
