Fry's was struggling for a long time. They struggled to compete with Best Buy (who is also failing) and with the rise of Amazon and their electronics market, it was the death knell.

Amazon wants brick and mortar stores to go away. Permanently. Because they want to control all commerce and trade on everything consumer goods. And they're well on their way to do just that.

When was the last time you saw an actual locally owned electronics store in your city? A long ass time. Because they have to raise prices of the product in order to pay their rent/employee's. That cost gets passed to the consumer. Why would a consumer pay more at the shop when they can get something cheaper on Amazon and get it two days?

See how Amazon has created a situation that destroys local businesses? Amazon can absorb the loss in profit by underselling their product because it puts their competition out of business and when they're gone, they'll just skyrocket the price to whatever they want because they're the only game in town. Next Amazon will say that brick and mortar shops are causing climate change to turn more people against buying locally.

Amazon is the most unamerican company this country has ever seen and their monopoly on multiple industries is causing untold harm to the people.

Amazon needs to be broken up, sanctioned, fined, and sued into oblivion. There needs to be actual regulations on shit like this that's actually enforced. They're a monopoly. And it needs to stop. But Biden isn't going to do anything. He gets too much money from Amazon. All of Government gets personal kickbacks from Amazon. Hence why no one talks about them or what a threat they are.

And to think Amazon was once a struggling ".com" books only company.
