funny thing is, I think the left only started giving a shit when a dakota tribe objected about not being consulted over how to safely implement it through their lands. I think that they cleared that issue when Trump got into office and they no longer objected, but these lefties don't even remember why they were objecting to begin with. SPEZ That is to say that I think the left thought the tribe was objecting over the environmental impact, but I think it was just more over making sure they weren't going to be negatively affected in terms of economic impact, etc.. I don't think the tribe really cared as much about the environmental impact, not at least on the stupid ass level the left likes to think we injuns give a shit about.
Do you have any sources? I’m interested in this because I recently heard somebody citing the tribal land issues as the big thing nobody knows, and that’s why it’s so bad. And(duh) obviously “anybody pro pipeline” is ignorant or hiding that from you. Seems pretty fucking esoteric but I’d like some more debate ammo.
I feel like I remember seeing it on the_donald back when it was happening. Pretty difficult to find it now though because the fake news media are selecting tribes that are happy with it (that likely had no involvement directly anyways).
And of course the Sioux are a part of the ones they are picking. Sorry, but as an injun myself (Cherokee, Choctaw), I can't help but notice the pattern that whenever the media and politicians needs some native tribe to go to look for pandering, they turn to the Sioux (notice how Elizabeth Warren apologized for lying about being injun? Who did she apologize to? The Cherokee? Nah we told her to fuck off. She turned to the Sioux)
Facts are racist
Sexist too
