I guess I'm a Conservationist, too. I'm all for clean water and air, not letting greedy, corrupt politicians zone open land for ugly McMansions, stopping millionaire celebrities pollute the air with private jets, and China pumping poisons and toxins into the air and water.
We, as a country, have made great strides in cleaning up. I'm old enough to remember how trashed NY and NYC was - seeing corpses of cars and drifts of trash on the freeway into and all around the city. Then moving to CA and landing through a solid brown ceiling of smog. That's all different now. We've cleaned a lot of the country up, but the left ignore that and find something new to sniff haughtily and sneer about.
And somehow we're still the problem when other countries like India, China, and Mexico are shitholes. The filthiest country I ever visited was India, I'll never return there. But we're the problem.

Sure.
People bathing in the Ganges as corpses float past. Shit in the streets. Filthy people.
Everything bad you hear about India...is true. I still feel itchy and uncomfortable thinking about it.
