Fuck small business. Seriously, fuck em. The next time you walk into some small business with the intention to support them and they go "SIR! MASK!" and they do that little swipe across the face gesture, tell them you're exempt and if they still deny you, walk out and never support them again.
This has happened to me several times now. I told them I will never come back and my only intention was to spend some money to help them. 2 of those businesses are declaring bankruptcy now.
Fuck em. They're dying, won't open up en mass and resist tyranny, have to jack their pricing up to survive and still wanna play by the rules rigged against them.

Way ahead of you; when small business staff ask/tell/implore/chide me "your mask..." and say anything other than "OK" after I say "That's not going to happen," I just laugh and say, "Good luck!"
If they "remind" you about the mask, you say "OK" but do nothing. If they keep pushing, you ignore. If they threaten to call the cops, you now know that they aren't just trying to stay in business... they literally buy into the BS that masks save lives and you are the devil for refusing to wear one. At that point, spending money there is counterproductive.
