Would it not be more fulfilling to work a job that requires minimal education that still pays well on the value of its product? I can certainly feel a factory job or a trade job would be better for people that don't want a job getting yelled at by Karen's all day for half the pay.
Why not encourage more decent jobs in the area, or look into said jobs? Look for labor where the product makes that job worth $15 out the gate.
Or, ya know, be worth $15/hr in the job you have. Be more productive. If nothing in that business can pay $15/hr, then you should find a different market and industry.
Forcing a minimum wage for jobs that aren't worth $15 to begin with won't improve jobs, it will leave more people without work because no one will hire workers that won't make that wage worth while.
You're operating under the assumption that they actually care about Americans and aren't trying to destroy livelihoods and make people dependent on the government.
Exactly. If they really cared, their first move to raise real wages would be to take a hardline action against illegal immigration.
I considered commenting on the fact that the government is going out of their way to kill jobs worth $15. I'm talking about talking to the NPCs at the bottom.
Granted, most people who are stick working current minimum wage jobs probably are worth less to the company than they are paid.
