Was Trump "trusting" the "wrong people" or was there a coup against a President acting lawfully and attempting to restore law and order?

I think a lot more went on in the background than the "wrong people" getting chosen.

No doubt there was a lot more going on behind the scenes, and the coup. Doesn’t change the fact that Trump hired Barr, Sessions, Pence, Haley, and others. Don’t get me wrong, he figured it out—Pompeo is a beast—but it was his biggest blind spot.

Well, he had to hire somebody. I don't think there are any qualified people in those positions that would have carried out their orders differently.

Politicians in general have no principles.
