Do you think this might spark a "conversation" about the commie teachers unions having too much power?

What exactly is a teachers union for? They get the summer off, all federal and school holidays, the usual pto time, and maternity leave for like a month as well. Plus, they all get paid well in solid public schools. I dont get it. Parents are still gonna bitch to the school about their kids teachers. Ive had teachers that legit put in minimum effort and inflated everyones grades to always As and Bs, teachers who actually just sucked and barely spoke english, and no matter what, these people still have jobs for years after i graduated.

Teachers unions funnel political money, enforce progressive propaganda in the education system, and keep pedos and child molesters safe and employed. All things highly useful to modern society.

At this point, sending your children to these institutions would constitute child abuse in a sane country.

Don't forget the high proportion of teachers who were members of Antifa, actively engaged in rioting and burning last summer.

It's absolutely a mistake to think that all teachers get paid well. The pay range across districts is huge.

That's a separate issue from the situation here

Teachers are overpaid. The administrators are overpaid. Every and all districts.

You've drank the cool aid.

Time for some ipecac. Need a prescription?

Administrators generally cause all the problems while getting all the money.

If teacher's pay is the same across all districts that's changed a lot. Is that really what you're suggesting?

teachers unions having too much power

Why? The statement that this post hinges on lacks context. No one is asking "why can't the teacher be fired"'? Instead everyone is shitting their pants , "OMFG he can't be fired!".

There are agreements between employers and unions. Typically, part of those agreements are clauses stating that the employer can't summarily fire an employee without a form of due process that is likely going to take slightly longer than knee jerking freak outs.
