No one should reboot firefly. Let it stay dead as one of the best tv shows ever made. Honestly would piss me off more if Disney made a new firefly than their brutal raping of Star Wars.

Holy crap. I just thought of the perfect writer/director: S. Craig Zahler, the based genius behind Bone Tomahawk (2015). The guy has a flair for period dialogue, is a genre nerd, can work within a budget, and likely has a list of based talent just waiting to do something like this for scale or close to it.
