Your biggest threat is soccer moms in mini-vans turning left.

That's why I got rid of mine when I lived in Arizona. Was on my way to work one morning and watched a lady in a minivan run some poor guy over. It took her a while to stop, even with his bike under her van. Dude survived, and I said fuck these people.

I love off-roading on street slicks.

Wish now I didn't sell my KLR 650.

Thats a good solid bike. A bit slow for my tastes, but even better offroad than mine.

Damn there are some haters in here. Cool bike pede.

Not a good choice. Good luck fixing it when it breaks down. Get something simple, and carbureted for the SHTF scenario.

I'm more of a klr 650 man myself. Good on fuel, parts are cheap, and it's Japanese. (More dependable)

If I posted a picture of a modern 4 wheel drive truck would you have come in here being like this too?

Just_An_Idahoan 3 points ago +4 / -1

Why so triggered? You posted (flexed) a pic of your bike on a non-bike site, and he gave you his opinion.

I had an enduro a few years ago that thing was fucking sweet. I put off road tires on it and could literally drive over curbs and down muddy trails. Much different then the ninja I have now. I miss it.

Not much different. Get some dual sport tires/rims. Lay off the throttle high end, and its basically the same as op. Stiffen up the rear shock a bit and watch your ground clearance.

Hello Fellow Triumph Fren! Nice looking bike! I have a 2018 Street Scrambler. It’s the closest I could get to an adventure bike because I have short legs and all those bikes are too tall for me but my bike is capable of off roading if necessary. It started life as a flat track racer before I got it. It’s had a lot of mods done so it’s fast and looks like a beast. Sounds like a beast too.

Where you live bro? Do you have any firearms or military rations? Thanks for the idea about the bike, where you keep the keys? Asking for a friend.

Lol. Uhm, Texas!

Seriously tho, nice bike. If I ever step up from my 125 I will definitely not get one because I ruin everything. All the best with the coming apocalypse.

Yeah, but they look terrible.

Never go euro-bike

TexasVet [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Yeah I'm looking at the yamaha tenere 700.

2
yuugecrowds 2 points ago +2 / -0

That’s pretty sweet. I wouldn’t mind getting an endurobike. The Zero electric ones are on my radar, but that’s not good for SHTF or emp (Also out of my price range). Though at some point electricity will be easier to find than gas

Scuffers 2 points ago +2 / -0

Nice!

I had a Tiger for a bit, copped it for a GS though, the Tiger was a bit too (top) heavy and on long runs (like across Europe) quite tiring...

Dual sports are better

2
TexasVet [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Then go buy one. I am quite happy with my choice.

ADV bikes are cool, im not bashing. It's just not practical for SHTF.

Thing weighs something like 550lbs? Good luck picking it up while you have it loaded with all your survival gear and a god forbid if you incur some sort of injury.
