I just told someone that the increase in black support meant a 50% increase from 2016 and that means MOMENTUM.
The other person, I talked about how Trump tried to get 2,000 checks last year and how Democrats are already saying the minimum wage won't happen until 2025. I said Trump was trying to increase actual wages by bringing manufacturing back.

I've been trying to learn how to talk with these voters because I feel like the media gets to say whatever they want and it goes unchecked by reality and I think when I hide and don't say anything, then I give up ground that I could easily hold. I used to be a liberal so I know how they think. They love contempt and looking down on others.
I really want to respond to a person who says Republicans have no empathy since they don't let the US tax the wealthy to pay for healthcare, but I'm not there yet. I want to tell them that they have moral narcissism and that a pure heart and good intentions have never been enough. You have to have good policy.
Universal healthcare will hurt the middle and working class more than it helps.
Nice work. None of this is easy, no matter how you try to open peoples eyes. I find that getting them to understand we have basically the same problem, complete lack of real representation on both sides, is somewhat effective, also.
