Because Facebook makes money off of harvesting your data and with the changes Apple is making, it makes it impossible for that to happen. Facebook loses that data harvesting, they lose the location data that they share with the government. It severely damages their AI and targeting platforms.

I don't see how Facebook would have a case in court. It's Apple's platform and their hardware on top of their app store. Facebook has no say in what they do with their software/hardware. It's not monopolistic. Apple doesn't have their own Social app. They're not competing with Facebook. If Facebook doesn't like it, they can make their own Chinese designed spy phone.
