It seems like the letter isn't promoting Communism, but promoting the manner in which it is promoted. It's like Anifa and BLM who go out and give 100% of their efforts for their cause and meanwhile the Conservatives don't do much at all. It's like the Democrat party who sticks together and stays focused on their goals while the GOP attacks one another and wouldn't have 100 percent for President Trump. I don't see where the writer of this letter promoted Communism itself, but instead saying Christians should be as enthused as promoting Christ as Communists are about promoting Marxism. Just my interpretation.

I somewhat agree, it isn't the "damning" proof I wanted. However, there is a 15 page sermon I found from around the same time where he basically calls Christ a communist and that as followers of Christ we should be communist. Being the pastor of such a large church in a red town, and a very intelligent man, I wouldn't expect him to have come out as a full fledged commie to them. Rather, he inserts small tidbits of info into his writings to slowly turn his followers on to his teachings.

I figured there was more. I'm sure you're on to something. So many churches are led by false teachers...antichristis.

The two paragraphs to the left shows he has actually read the manifesto, and is teaching from it.

This is super, super common these days. One of the reasons communism has been sold to so much of the US is because liberalized "Christianity" has associated itself with Socialism.

Charity is personal, willing sacrifice for the sake of others, it is NOT the theft and greed known as welfare. The vileness creeping into mainstream Christianity has redefined the beatitudes to the point they are pushing sins in their place.

Unfortunately it's very hard to get people to see this.

Marx believed that religion was antithetical to the success of Communism. Any pastor who supports Marx or communism isn't a man of Christ.

I agree. Seems like the majority of churches are now led by antichrist figures.

In this fallen world, promoting evil isn't courageous. It literally takes no sacrifice, no virtue. Don't commend he who screams the loudest, his words condemn him and condemn his listeners on judgement day
