A politician without a bureaucrazy following his orders is destined to fail. The politicians can order all they want, their next election always looms. Problem is the federal bureaucrazy who gets insane benefits by not changing anything. All they know is creating more rules, more electronic paperwork, reporting requirements etc. Trump was the first one who threatened their existence by "retract two" for "each new rule". He made instant enemy of the rank and file federal employees. He tried without support because he overestimated the power of the presidency looking at it as an outsider. A veto proof majority in both houses is able to cause lasting change. An unholy alliance with the establishment was what we had. The bureaucrazy saw what the private sector could create in record time and was so threatened they were starting to blatently violate laws to get rid of Trump. The change of "firing rules" was the point where even neutral bureaucrats turned against him. Their actions could no longer be masked. We are now in a bureaucratic/political uniparty/ big cooperation puppet dictatorship. Essentially undeclared fascism. We know what we have against them which they seek to ban.
