A fucking hotel doesn’t have any moral right to dictate how you dress, especially using religious-like faith-based “science”. Doing so is to engage in the same type of practice that has a long history of leading to mass discrimination and genocide. Iran used health to enforce headscarves, Nazis used health to enforce yellow stars, health has been bandied about to compel everything from female circumcision, to cultural abolition, to forced abortions, and even directly to mass slaughter of political opponents.

My thought is that is a HOTEL policy that was agreed upon in the contract to hold the event there. The HOTEL is an international corporation, so that would make sense. Florida does not have a mask mandate, so it has to be that.

FL doesn’t have mask mandates, right? I’d be really interested to know if it’s the venue or CPAC organizers who decided to enforce a mask policy.

Counties and cities in Florida have mask mandates. They are threatening businesses with fines if they allow people to enter without a mask.
