I've been doing some reading on U.S. Intervention in Syria and I just don't get it. Why would Obama want to attack Syria when it was relatively stable before the intervention. Also any other knowledge about the situation would be helpful.

Pipeline
Lots of Christians there.
Easy.
Theyre nationalists.
Soros hates nationalism.
Nationalism must die.
You know the rest.
Israel wants their land, and Russia wants a pipeline there that'd weaken European dependence on America.
Popular theory going around is to protect the Turkey-Qatar pipeline running through the country.
Or because since we are nation building Iraq we needed to get rid of a military threat growing to the north who had ambitions/spread into Iraq
Or morally we had a duty to take out isis which was committing crimes against humanity and which we held some blame for it's uprising.
Control of oil, fits in somewhere. Always been a good reason for Demonrats to kill.
In the 80's I lived in Sweden and my GF worked at a popular bar in Stockholm. I befriended the owner of the bar who was a rich immigrant to Sweden and he told me about a pipeline that he invested in that was supposed to go through Syria. They're still trying to build it. I think a lot of what we are seeing are globalists pushing against the sovereign interests of Syria.
