I agree. As soon as schools start depending on that sweet sweet tax money the government can threaten to cut it off if the schools don't reflect their agenda. Partially on the schools to stand firm, but its difficult when they can hang revenue over your head.

Meh. Don't know what the big deal is. You think your roads are built by government workers? You think it's government workers building F-35 fighters? Nope, it's private companies being paid by your tax dollars.

I'd be all for giving taxpayers (including those that are paying into the system but have no kids in school) a voucher and letting them hand that to the school of their choice, be it public or private.

It’s not government money it’s OUR money. The only money they have is what they steal from us. Property taxes fund public schools. If public schools are not operating that money should be returned and then can be spent on private school.
