They do have ones that look better. Syria was like every country. You have the rich and the poor. Syrians were living well before the war and things are slowly getting better in the places the government controls.

What I noticed during the great refugee movement from Syria a few years ago was that many of the people who were leaving were those who were doing well before the war. There were doctors, engineers, teachers. The poor were stuck in Syria while those who could afford it left.
