There's a drastic difference between early good rap and the diatribe dribble they use today. What one told a story, now has focused into money, hoes, bitches, drugs, cars and pussy. The yesteryear of what was the focal point of African culture, literal story telling, has turned from "it was all a dream" and "forgot about dre" to "fuck that pussy bitch" and "Benjamin's nigga."
Rap has the same problem as modern society; they throw money at a problem instead of talking about them. I truly do miss what started a a true expression of art, but like all art, it has dissolved into an easy, mind numbing pill anyone can understand.
