The website was innovative: Through customer reviews and mail-based transfer of product, he solved the problems of violent altercations and drug poisoning/overdoses from the drug trade. In effect, he made the dangerous world of drug dealing and consumption a lot safer. Of course, in the ideal world, no one would do drugs, but his website allowed people who did want to participate within this market the ability to buy, sell, and consume with a lot less risk than "on-the-street". Had his website gone mainstream, it very well could have solved (or at least mitigate) a lot of the inner city gang violence and social misery we see today.
