I'd love to be in Texas, but as Californians flock to the state, I'd rather be in a deeper red state, which is also much more affordable.
Texas real estate is becoming quite expensive!
So, what's it like in Oklahoma? What do you like? What do you dislike?
Is the state becoming a better place to be, or is it becoming worse with time?
Give me a full run down! Thanks friends! Who knows, maybe if I move there I'll run into you guys!
I saw your state is becoming the first to pass legislation to successfully defy Biden Administration executive orders!
temperate climate. hot AND humid in the summers, less than hard winters.
Mexcrements. we're neighbors with Tejas, so, overflow. Tulsa has a wildly growing pop. Lil mexico is no longer lil.
we have a cookie-cutter gov, and Tulsa mayor is cucked beyond belief. i'm more convinced our 'voting' machines have something to do with that.
if looking to move here, look for houses in the neighborhood that have more than 4 cars parked there. usually means a mexicommune. if you like a polka beat 3x/week or more, move there.
edit: beyond that, it has been a great place to live, all in all
Thanks for the help.
I'd like to ideally live on 3+ acres and have some land, but not be too far from full size cities and suburbs.
Like, I don't want to be in the middle of nowhere, but wouldn't mind as long as I'm around 30 minutes from a populated city.
What is southern Oklahoma like? I'd love to be close to Texas and be able to drive there anytime I want.
So, what's that landscape like? Is it much more expensive to be close to Texas?
I have a friend who lives in northern Texas, so I'd like to visit her if possible!
metro areas are a mixed bag, but once outside of them you can find some great folks to live around.
we're pretty short on tards in the burbs, and especially in rural areas.
there's plenty of cost effective land here. SE OK is pretty rural.
stay away from Muskogee and Okmulgee, and you'll be pretty white.
