I'd love to be in Texas, but as Californians flock to the state, I'd rather be in a deeper red state, which is also much more affordable.

It's a shithole.
It's depressingly flat, no fucking trees, barely even boulders. Just plains. Nothing but fucking fields. The wind sucks and the winters are bullshit with the wind chills.
I won't live in a southern state, a state with no mountains, or a state with no pine forests.

I feel you on that! I love greenery. I'd have to live in an area that has lots of trees. I know it exists there, but I couldn't live in a spot without it.
Being in NY, we have gorgeous scenery. Geographically, our state is so nice! But everything else is going to hell here...
