US citizens or immigrants who are born male and changed their gender to female are still required to register. Individuals who are born female and changed their gender to male are not required to register.
That's actually a great point I never thought about that angle regarding women and transsexuals in combat. It just makes it way easier to institute something closer to universal conscription.
Which now we do a full circle because I'm not against mandatory military service of a year or two for all people in America or at least as a way to earn free money for college or a trade school. I just don't think the draft should be involved. The draft should be for worst case scenarios only and be limited to fit males aged 18 to 35 with no wife or kids.
