This could also mean that gays are dying young. The Millennials and GenZ are just confused because of indoctrination, but it could also be reflected here that very few gay folks live past 75 years of age.
It’s almost like two different definitions are being surveyed here, with the older generations adhering to the traditional definition, and the younger generations using the woke one.

Don't believe their inflated polling methods. After seeing how they oversampled people in prisons in the 1950s Kinsey samples (to falsely inflate a 1% gay rate to a 10% gay rate), be very leery of CNN polls that use the same methodologies.
Remember what newsman Walter Cronkite said: "The media is not there to reflect public opinion, but to SHAPE it".
Likewise these polls aren't there to reflect real rates of gayness, but to stimulate it. To change attitudes about it. To encourage you to join their ranks.

I completely agree. I always wondered why I was so introverted in my teen years. Months ago, I had the urge to watch it when I heard a loud voice say ENOUGH! It was a loud, booming voice I had never heard before. The funny thing was, I was by myself, I didn't hear it with my ears, and the voice brought mental clarity as if I perfectly knew what was right and wrong. I'm fully convinced it was divine intervention. It freaked me out so much that I haven't even thought about watching it since.
All of the increase is trans and bi because those are just social trends. Gay and lesbian people are real so those numbers have been mostly constant.

No, not really. It's exactly what you'd expect to see once it became more acceptable. The only reason it's shooting up so dramatically now though is because it grants the weakest among us the tiniest shred of power and it makes them feel special. I would also be willing to examine if there is a correlation with social media usage, social class, and education level.

If you ask lefties on why this percentage goes up, the answer is "Because it's more acceptable now." Personally I believe that it is the indoctrination. It's considered cool to be lgbt these days, so especially younger people will be draw towards it.
