Not really since there was a very real reason why Hancock and the girl could not be together. Plus, she was never really interested in leaving her husband to be with Handcock anyways. She cared for him but they had a lot of history together.
Not to mention both of them are transitioning their boys into girls. That is just some twisted shit to do to a kid. Charlize was complaining that no men will date her because she’s a StRoNg wOmAn! No, it’s because you’re dressing your little boys as little girls. That isn’t normal.
I know it's late, but here's a little anecdote for you.
I was discussing Shaft with my mother for some reason, I think it was about the song. She finally suggested renting the movie. I said sure. So we went to Blockbuster (dated reference!) Action movies? Not there. Classics? Nope. Drama??? No. We finally gave up and asked an attendant.
At this point I should mention, we went in February. So you can guess what happened next.
"Oh, it's in the Black History Month section."
Mom and I: looking at each other blankly, then shrugging Welp, okay!
Imagine putting a blaxploitation movie in the black history month section. Just goes to show wokeness and racism are two sides of the same coin.
I actually liked this movie, until about the last1/4. Still an overall solid movie.
See, for me it felt like a movie that should've been a TV series instead. It could've been breaking bad 10 years before it happened.

They also made Steel with Shaquille O'Neal, which was supposedly based on Superman (Man of Steel) even though it was closer in storyline to Iron Man.
DC will make another woke movie and will complain when it flops.
I know. This meme is racist. sigh
How is it racist?
Because the black man is actually Irish.
Blade was before this
Blade was cool, too.
Blade was fucking awesome.

Why is Sean Penn a big deal? Besides Fast Times, what else has he done?
I haven’t seen a single one of those movies. I saw Bad Boys when I was a kid and that was cool.
Shaft!

And it is a really good movie.
