You would think that these teachers would have taken a modicum of Child Development somewhere along the way to understand the brain of the typical First Grader.

In First Grade, my biggest excitement was on the days the teacher would turn a new letter around and we would get to learn more of the Alphabet. I'm pretty, pretty sure that was about the extent of deep thinking anyone can do at that age.

The teachers know that. They also know kids uncritically accept anything from a teacher. Especially little kids.

If the vast majority of my students arrive in my classes thinking their blood is blue, then we know kids believe elementary teachers.

Ideology is far more important. It’s a religion. It requires proselytizers to poison the young.
