But it was heavily marketed to white suburb kids who were then demonized and called evil racists for emulating something they admired.

That's actually quite ironic that an album that's all about rejecting authority would be used as a cudgel to demoralize and control the behavior of whites.

Somebody should do a tribute album for whites that's all "fuck the thought police." You know? Change the lyrics around to relate to the current oppression of whites.
