We need to find a way to get the truth to the normies. A discussion at work has me scared of our current reality.
There's 4 of us talking. 3 35ish year olds and 1 52 year old.
The discussion started about gun control. Basically 2 of the guys said it's a good thing. And tried to say there's no difference in policy between democrats and Republicans. There is a uniparty but pretty much every dem city is a shithole.
So the virus came up as I wanted to point out lockdowns happening and gun control would just give government total control, like every communist/socialist uprising, and I said that if anyone just ignored the media and social media while looking at actual data they'd see the virus was nothing.
Well, mr 52 year old said he knows 3 people that died from the virus! And a mother in law lost sight in one eye!
The problem is, he said they're all young. None of the data supports what he's saying. 30,000 have been listed as dying from the virus, CDC currently states average COMORBIDITIES is 3.8 with 6% as ONLY COVID.
People are trying to wake up but Google and media has control.

Yea that 52 year old is full of it if he says he personally knew 3 young men who died of Wu flu. Don't buy it for a second if they were healthy.
Unless you're already nearing death the virus is nothing. If you're unhealthy but not within a year of dying the virus won't kill you. If you're unhealthy it'll get you more sick than healthy people but that's true for literally every virus

It's physically painful having everyone just spouting reddit and MSM talking points. You try to discuss actual data and they just keep demanding sources so they can immediately ignore them.... including the links I posted.

Forgive me coming off as patronizing. Still, I learned 10 years ago (0bamacare social media fight), the left is not engaged in an intellectual debate, and they have no intention of doing so, as they will lose every time. So, stop treating the left as if they are meeting you on an intellectual field. They just want to destroy and ridicule, so meet them with ridicule, and make them cry!
These aren't lefties though! They're normal to conservative who are not very politically active so they just know what they see from TV and social media!

Hey, me too, trust me. So, it is a slow process to get them to see. First move is to get them to see the news is just a way to get advertising into their house. No evil, no good, just audience. If you jump to all EVIL!, their brains will shut you out. Just take it slow.
