This is a bit too simplistic though. I don’t blame anyone who doesn’t want to join the military under current conditions, but there’s a lot more going on than oil companies. Even the petroleum issues are not just petroleum, there’s energy security and global strategic issues. With “Biden” restarting Nordstream 2 though it appears that strategic concerns are being disregarded in favor of something that seems like economic corruption.

What I’m getting at is that there are a lot more concerns than just “oil companies” so unless you’re just trying to tell off the recruiter it would make more sense to mention the larger lack of confidence in the administration and all the things related to that. At the very least that ought to get a more interesting response.
