I know nothing at all about Smedley Butler, but that sounds like the statement of a man who regrets defending American liberty... Maybe even a communist

And you'd be absolutely wrong. Go read his book, really more or a pamphlet, "War is a Racket".

General Smedley rightly identified the federal governments thirst for enriching themselves and their cronies under the guise of "spreading democracy".

I fought in OIF and you know what...it had ZERO to do with defending American liberty. Just like all the other endless wars politicians get us into.

You have an obligation to educate yourself on our history. Go read up.
