The government has way too much control over everyone’s lives right now.
This has been built up gradually over the years (eg social security)
The only way to break out of this parasitic system is to teach people that there was a time when Americans were more independent and did not need government for most things in their lives
Ok, keep complaining and do nothing then. It’s going to take a few generations of work to undo the collectivist propaganda (“FDR saved the economy!”)
Or you can at least start with your own kids. Homeschool and give them a proper education. Teach them how to be self-reliant and not wait for some higher authority in government to make their life better.
What will that do? It will teach rhe group that was most likely to be self sufficient anyway that they should be self sufficient. Meanwhile the groups that leech off us continue to lap up the message that they should leech. Then we vote against each other. Guess how that goes
I don't know that it is sufficient. america was different because it was new and people saw was freedom was. and these people were the ones that didn't die from the trip or the wars, or the kids of these people.
thats long gone. your parents had less freedom than when it was founded. and you have even less than your parents.

imo you'd want to teach people how to have courage, but history says we lose in the end. we'd need far away land to go to, pretty much another planet, to do this again, with even more guardrails this time.
People generally revolt when things can't really get any worse. Boiling frogs and all that stuff, I guess. Proactively going out and killing your way to a better world doesn't work. It sure didn't for the idealists that went to communism 100 years ago in Russia..
All you and I can do is be responsible, teach our kids to be responsible, use common sense and think for themselves. If you do well in life, business etc. people will gradually come your way and ask how you pulled it off.
