The Poll Tax of the Second Ammendment. That is a bunch of Maloney from New Yorkers who enjoy armed private security guards to protect themselves from "insurectionists" and the armed hooligans that they fight to keep out of prisons and on our streets.

Step back and look at this from their angle:

It’s pretty simple. Take your money, fold it once, maybe twice and proceed to put it in their pockets - and they have a lot of pockets.

If they can prove risk (in a court of public opinion aka the media) they can initiate a law to offset the “newly created” risk requiring we pay a tax with new regulations/legislation. If we pay, their corporate donors get paid back (insurance companies lobbying for firearm insurance), if we don’t pay the states/counties get paid back (similar to traffic court and subrogation) and if we don’t pay the state the fed gets paid. It’s a waterfall effect and you pay regardless - depending on where you “fit” along these channels.

How to make money lesson 1:

Require insurance to drive a car

Require insurance for guns

How to make money lesson 2:

If you drive without insurance you pay a “criminal tax”

If you own a gun without insurance you pay a “criminal tax”

How to make money lesson 3:

If you drive too many times without insurance and don’t pay criminal tax you go to jail.

If you own a gun to many times without insurance and don’t pay criminal tax you go to jail.

End of story. Look around at everything. EVERYTHING is like this. Waterfall after waterfall of financial slavery. It doesn’t matter if it’s guns, cars, a new business or having a kid.

The difference is guns were around long before cars (and other taxable profit schemes) and made it specifically into the constitution for multiple important reasons including the prominent one which is to stop tyranny by government, which ironically at the time had a hell of a lot to do with taxes.

We need to basically stop the flow of new legislation, laws, expanded government and regulations. Guns should be the line in the sand, and not an imaginary Obama line they can cross.

Shall not be infringed.

Not that they don't want to outright ban guns, because they do. This, just like draconian local laws, storage requirements, gun/ammo sales taxes, etc., is all about an end-run around that, to make owning guns difficult and prohibitively expensive...

...and to make firearms difficult to obtain. I don't know how it is in your area, but I can count the number of gun dealers here on one hand. Most have closed (or have been closed), and some have chosen to move to friendlier states. Still, federal regulations are killing gun dealers, who also incur increasing control and outrageous costs.

So that's working, hence the gun shows and private transactions in the gun grabbers' sights. Make firearms and ammo difficult to acquire, and too expensive to own. Toss in ever-increasing license fees and "renewal" requirements, and they're hoping that legal gun owners will simply give up.

But I couldn't fit all that in the OP lol.

In canada we have to have a possession & acquisition license to... well... posses and acquire guns... this has to be renewed every 5 years. Right on the renewal form it says "the fee to renew will increase every year". So eventually only the rich will be able to own guns as it'll be too expensive for us plebs too own them. Fuck canada

Next step: You wanna have guns? Fine. You can have them, but you can't use them. Well, you can use them once but then we'll take them away from you because you used them.

Here's the bizarre thing...

In the states of New York (original fast growing colony), Texas and California (original Spanish territories with early populations that established legal structures), you have families established during those times that have . . .

Not dozens . . .

Not hundreds . . .

. . . but thousands of firearms in their collection.

The above is NOT a joke.

There's a family in California that has over 10,000 firearms. Dozens that have a thousand plus firearms. And a bunch more that have hundreds of firearms in their collections.

These are very well off families, many owning original source water rights and land rights, etc.

Many operate wineries and vineyards. When you take a tour through some of these - you are walking thru gun vaults with the firearms hidden in plain sight.

No joke.

Imagine telling these families:

"You're going to have to pay for gun liability insurance for each and every firearm."

Of course, Pelosi will carve out exceptions for her family and like families of "ilk".

Eh, theoretically you can only shoot one gun at a time. Germany has liability insurance for gun owners, and it's not that bad. Of course, you basically have to be rich just to get through the licensing anyway.
