With respect, I disagree: they would make up an excuse, and kill it.

I base that on the pulling down of all the statues to black intellectuals, notably Frederick Douglass.

That was done on the anniversary day of his most famous speech. Someone planned that who knew all about him.

I also base that on the number of black owned businesses and homes that were burned last summer.

I don't think black people who live lives that they enjoy, and get ahead in this white-majority country, who hold their heads up, and support capitalism, are going to be allowed to keep the things that make that possible.

This kind of school is one of the things that make that possible.

It's about killing American excellence and has nothing to do with race. Just my opinion.

Another possible scenario is that it will simply be bought by uh outsiders, who will rescue it, keep it open, and garner gratitude and loyalty for doing that.

Agreed. One of the things that happens when you cancel advanced and gifted classes is that the brightest kids, of every ethnicity, find dumb classes with dumb kids so boring that they tune out completely and come to hate school altogether. This is about destroying all gifted kid's enthusiasm and participation.
