Look into this Texans, the tax money you send to Austin is being used to fund lobbyists to raise your taxes even more.

I heard the convo on the David Webb show, Sirius XM Patriot 125. A guest who is a Texas representative was discussing this topic.

Texas doesn't have a state income tax. It would be interesting to know more though.

Not sure an “income” tax was mentioned. It is likely sales and property taxes.

I see. I know sales taxes are local to the purchase area (different rates in different municipalities). I believe it's the same for property taxes. Corp taxes get paid to the state so maybe it's the companies at risk of higher taxes, which eventually gets pushed down to the consumer. Perhaps that's the bandicoot in the bush that concerns them.

Again, the take away is that lobbyist are using Texans own tax money to lobby against them for higher taxes. I’d reach out to your reps to learn more, they’d appreciate more citizen support.

The reference listed above is all I remember, didn’t catch the guests name. The context of the convo is what stood out. If it comes to mind, Ill repost.
