When I think of this ship, I remember that it was meant to be for non covid patients. It was a safe place to have treatment and surgeries without worrying about covid. But what I remember was Democrats reeeing about the necessity to move covid onto that ship. It was part of their hidden agenda to make sure covid could spread everywhere, and blame everything on Trump later.
I can't find it now, of course, but I read someone explaining part of that dumpster fire. The people in charge never got their act together to organize anything properly, because different ambulance services make them money. If they had ordered them to deliver people to the right place - like to the hospital ship, they don't get their kickback. Or if one hospital is designated for certain kinds of patients/treatments, they may not get the same chances for extra little bonuses as another. So, the ambulances and everyone else just kept going as they had been, and they never used the ships, army hospitals, or Javitz Center like they were supposed to. Meanwhile, many people who needed to go to the hospital were scared to do so until too late, and Cuomo sent patients into nursing homes to kill more old people while those expensive army hospitals/ship sat empty, waiting for politicians to do their jobs.
