Amazingly, the thing.s the actors are mocking in England are exactly what we are dealing with here. Government, gays, global warming, politicians, etc. Examples: 'Last of the Summer Wine, Waiting for God'

May I suggest? Fawlty Towers is a British television sitcom written by John Cleese and Connie Booth, broadcast on BBC2 in 1975 and 1979. Two series of six episodes each were made. The show was ranked first on a list of the 100 Greatest British Television Programmes drawn up by the British Film Institute in 2000 and, in 2019, it was named the 'greatest ever British TV sitcom' by a panel of comedy experts ... ; )
Fawlty Towers is an absolute classic. So few episodes and Cleese and Booth flatly refused to make more. It tears into endless cultural taboos. Class. Race... nothing is off limits. I also think Rising Damp and the Rise and Fall of Reginald Perrin and its sequel starring Leonard Rossiter are both unmissably brilliant.
Thank you
Your more than Welcome!
Que? (I almost forgot)... <chuckle>
FT was based upon a real life experience Cleese had at Cornish inn where the innkeeper was unbelievably rude. Or so I read. I taped all the episodes
