Ha, I loved them all! Strangely enough my Dad and I used to watch it on PBS together; when i was younger a lot of the jokes went over my head. but now that I'm older I find it hilarious on every watch!
Hopefully you binged on Till Death Us Do Part... that was the kind of political satire that would end careers if aired today, but was very powerful because of its lead character Alf Garnett. On top of being a world class bigot his character was actually just a clueless idiot who always came unstuck.
It's def. in my regular rotation! :D I also love Brother Cadfael, Father Ted, All Creatures Great and Small and Father Brown. Doc Martin's first few seasons were great too (but it's more recent)
You def know your classic Brit sitcoms. Have to say you have impeccable taste! Dad's Army is brilliant too.
Thank you, you too! I never thought I'd be talking British sitcoms on .win though ha! I haven't seen Dad's Army, but old Michael Crawford with Some Mothers Do Have 'Em! I found it funny and likeable, but it's not in the regular rotation. Oh my gosh he was so young though. I was lucky in that my Dad and my now Housemate enjoys British humor as much as I do, so I got to see a wide variety of shows! (i'm leaving out Monty Python on purpose, since I love it but almost everyone's seen it)
