I'm really not aware of a deeper connection between Christianity and rainbows. Other than maybe as decorative elements in paintings, scenes of heaven or paradise.
What do I miss?
After the Flood, Noah and all the Ark’s human and animal passengers disembarked. Then God made the Noahic Covenant. Then, as the historical account reads, God provided a sign for His covenant with Noah’s family and all living creatures—the rainbow.
I doubt Jesus is going to be thrilled that his death device is being worn around necks.
Plus Christians had dibbs on the rainbow first.
Just create you own symbols instead of stealing other group's symbols and then saying they've been yours all along.

Okay. But still, I wouldn't call it a specific symbol of Christianity itself, rather one of hope and oncoming rescue (in this story).
I'm pretty sure that rainbows have symbolic meanings and similar legends around them in each and every culture, religion and tradition.
The problem you have is you think what you think matters to the people who you stole the symbol from.
Of course you are going to think of some screwy way to say that buttfuckers can steal anything they want from religion including marriage.
Gays are Appropriators then they say it was never someone else's.
Why don't gays come up with their own symbols instead of stealing from other groups?
The Nazis stole the swastika a positive symbol and turned it into something ugly just like gays did to the rainbow.
