I had thought about wearing a full plague doctor's outfit to go out in public but never did it. Decided to go the stubborn civil disobedience route instead. Haven't worn a mask of any kind even once.
Me, too---I'm saving it for going to a new doctor---if he/she laughs, we can deal. If they get huffy, I'll know they're Medical-Industrial Complex and I'll find a based curandera ;)
My new provider spent half an hour just chatting to get to know me, then pulled down her mask to reveal a great big smile as she said, "Can I hug you?"
