I'm not pissed off by the fact that he used the word tranny, i'm pissed off by the phrase itself; Mentally ill tranny demon hackers... tell me with a straight fucking face you would say that phrase in front of your normalfag coworkers/family/friends and try to convince them to give your side a shot... If i were to say that shit to strengthen our ranks, i'd be looked like some of the fools that thought 2012 was going to be the end of the world, or Y2K was a real thing.

We need to hold people to a standard that, if they're going to judge something, they need to look into the situation and be informed. With Trump, a lot of his benign statements got mutated into something horrible sounding by the media. From that I think we learned that we can't expect to have good optics for people who only listen to the sound bytes.

I get your points, but I have a lot of doubts on whether it's the right strategy (not that I'm promoting what Torba said, either). Look at what happens on the other side, for example. Joe Biden has a track record of getting caught for plagiarizing personal speeches from UK politicians, saying he doesn't want kids to grow up in a racial jungle, and so on. Or the left-fags who say there needs to be more violence in the streets who were given a total pass, like when they post total anti-white racism, or re-education camps for dissenters. The left doesn't care, and they aggressively bullshit their way past any questions a normalfag may have.

Either we can give normalfags a reasonable case about such situations with Torba/others, and they take it in stride, or we never had a chance with them to begin with, I believe. Could be wrong. Maybe you're right about optics. If so, the best response IMO is to amplify better voices. It shouldn't matter to MAGA movement if there are crazy social media accounts of well-known conservatives.
